AYSO: How does Region 59 fit in the AYSO structure?

REGION 59:  Home of West Garden Grove, Region 59 plays at the Chapman Sports Complex in the Fall (played August thru December) and Spring seasons (played March thru May). The Region is supported 100% by volunteers who drive the core program that provides over 800 players (boys and girls) across divisions U5 thru U19 with an opportunity to play soccer. The Core Program continues with All-Star and Travel teams that participate in a playoff against other Area, Section and California State teams during the Post Season (January thru March)

AREA E: Region 59 is associated with six (6) other Regions that are in the cities of Los Alamitos, Long Beach, Cypress, Cerritos, La Habra and Whittier. Together, we comprise Area 11E.

SECTION 11: Area E is a part of Southern California’s Section 11. Area E joins with seven (7) other Areas that stretch from the south Los Angeles County Border (Long Beach and Downey) through Orange County all the way to the San Diego Border.

Our region has been awarded Platinum status in its regional assessment annually for providing a program that actively supports AYSO philosophies and policies. Criteria for this award include but are not limited to; volunteer registration and training, additional programs such as VIP, U5, and Extra (U19 and Flex), volunteer to player ratios, budget, and more. We are very proud of this award and will continue to strive for improvement each season.

REFUND POLICY:  

It is our goal to balance the needs of families that request a refund with those of the Region. Late requests can result in unbalanced teams and/or additional costs associated with unused uniforms.

• Refunds will be granted for requests received before the end of registration minus the Membership fee ($25) and service fee ($2.75).
• Partial refunds will be granted for requests received after the close of registration before the season begins minus the Membership fee ($25) and service fee ($2.75).
• No refunds will be given for requests received after first day of season start as teams have already been formed.
• No refunds will be given for withdrawal in advanced play programs (Extra, All-Stars,
  Select).
  
• All refund requests must be emailed to the Registrar and Treasurer and received by the
  cut-off dates.

• Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for refund to be processed.
• We cannot refund the annual AYSO Membership fee ($25). Membership fees go directly
  to AYSO National therefore cannot be refunded by the Region.
  
• Credit Card service fees cannot be refunded as those are paid to Sports Connect.
